A carefully drafted Will can relieve financial strain on your family after your death and prevent arguments.

If you die without a Will then the Administration Act applies which divides your estate in defined proportions between your surviving partner and children.  This may not be what you want and may even cause hardship.  It will almost certainly take longer and be more expensive when you die.

Your Will should include not just your money but all your property and possessions, including life insurance policies and Kiwisaver.

It is important to note that marriage revokes any Will you may already have in place.
